I have been researching baby leg warmers on the internet and realized that not only are they completely adorable, but a convenience, as well. I cut up a pair of my knee high toe socks to see how they would fit on Emma, and they were perfect! Instead of paying at lease $12 for a pair of baby leg warmers online (unless you find the clearance ones on
Amazon for anywhere from $2.00), why not make your own? Using knee high socks of any fun pattern, you cut the feet out, and you are left with a long warmer with an elastic top to adjust to your baby's legs. You can hem the bottoms to fit, add some lace, or leave them adjustable to grow with your baby!
Another fun option is to make your own! I am always one for crafting and love to crochet. Below is a pattern I found online that gives you the foundation for basic cute baby leg warmers. Use these to start and then make them your own...add ruffles, bows, buttons, flowers...anything you can dream of to make a unique item for your baby. They will keep your baby's legs warm while keeping the diaper accessible for easy changing.
